The Persian Great King standing left, holding the forelock of a female, human-headed griffin seated to left, head turned to right; all within cable border. Meshorer & Qedar 146. Sofaer 146. Extremely rare. A beautifully toned example of this highly interesting issue. The reverse a bit weak and with an edge split, otherwise, good very fine.
